About Us
A brief history
The idea of Fully Mapped began around 2014 with the thought of exploring and mapping the reefs and wrecks along the east coast on NSW. Then as things progressed and Tam Durney found caving, cave diving, rock climbing and canyoning, he thought why not map these things too. Eventually finding like minded individuals to work with in the pursuit of mapping historical wrecks, beautiful reefs, vast cave systems and even climbs.
In the past few years, a significant amount of groundwork has been laid to build the foundations of Fully Mapped. It was largely due to the preparation required to map some of the upcoming projects.
Project that included the use of various GPS equipment and GIS software for modeling sites, and researching the location of lost wrecks, and hidden caves through multiple sources.
In 2020 the mapping began, Tam started with something small. First a cup, then a shoe, a bedroom, a rebreather and then a couple small caves. Once they were somewhat successful, the scale and difficulty of the projects increased exponentially. It's these projects that we'd like to show you through Fully Mapped.
Feature Projects
The plan is simple, to explore and map as much as we can for all of you to see! Take a look at our projects below.
