Little beach house boat

Little beach is located in Nelson bay, Port Stephens NSW. It's known for it's sea grass, sea horses, rather average vis, and an old house boat at around 12m. This old house boat sank many years ago and has since lost much of it's structure, leaving only the hull. Over time the small wreck has become a functional and sustainable habitat for a diverse range of species. It was first captured in March of 2023, and it's the first wreck, turned artificial reef that we've decided to monitor on an ongoing basis to measure seasonal change in change in composition and overall health.

House boat Virtual Model

The house boat was captured in March 2023 by Tam Durney and Jackie Chan. While it's a small wreck it's density covered in sponges. In parallel with creating these models we're creating a large 2D image to assist in annual marine surveys by monitoring change in species composition and overall health.  The first image is the orthomosaic  produced, along with a preview of the basic model.
